6membershipA 6clement Joshua service™Legal & Trust CenterMembership Card, Certificate and Public Verification Policy
Detailed terms governing applications, membership relationships, payment review, benefits, conduct, verification and status.
Understanding this document
This Membership Card, Certificate and Public Verification Policy explains how 6membership may create, issue, display, verify, replace, restrict, expire, invalidate and revoke membership cards and certificates.
It also explains how third parties may check a Membership ID, what information may appear publicly, and the responsibilities of members presenting proof of membership.
6membership is a membership service operated by 6clement Joshua under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with mandatory local privacy, consumer and statutory rights preserved where they apply.
A 6membership card or certificate is proof of the specific private membership relationship recorded by 6membership. It is not a Nigerian National Identification Number record, national identity card, passport, driving licence, banking card, payment instrument, government licence or public-office credential.
The official membership database and current verification result control membership status. A screenshot, printed copy, saved PDF, image or old card cannot override the current record.
Public verification is a limited anti-impersonation and status-checking function. It must disclose only the information reasonably necessary for that purpose and must not become an indefinite public directory of former members.
When the active membership or public-verification purpose ends, public display should be disabled or reduced appropriately, while a restricted minimum record may remain only where a continuing lawful purpose, time-bound legal obligation, dispute, security requirement or other documented basis justifies retention.
This Policy must be read with the Membership Terms and Conditions, Privacy and Data Protection Notice, Application, Identity and Photograph Policy, Brand, Intellectual Property and Anti-Impersonation Policy and the other policies referenced throughout this document.
A saved, printed, forwarded or photographed card may be outdated, altered, stolen, replaced, expired or revoked. A third party should use the official 6membership verification service and check the current status before relying on a card.
Who these Terms apply to
Approved individual members receiving a digital or physical membership card.
Approved Family, household, business and organisation representatives.
Members receiving an electronic or printed membership certificate.
Applicants whose Application Reference becomes their Membership ID after approval.
Members presenting a card or certificate to an event organiser, affiliated organisation, business, partner or other third party.
Persons using the official public-verification service.
Members requesting a legal-name, photograph, tier, coverage or card correction.
Members reporting a lost, stolen, copied, exposed or altered card.
Administrators issuing, replacing, restricting, expiring or revoking membership records.
Third parties evaluating whether a claimed membership relationship is genuine and current.
Purpose and legal status
What a membership card establishes and what it does not represent.
Proof of a private membership relationship
A valid 6membership card or certificate provides evidence that the named person, household representative or entity has an approved membership record.
The card identifies the approved tier, Membership ID and other limited information selected for the applicable design.
The card establishes only the relationship and status described by the official membership record.
Not a government identity document
A 6membership card is not issued by the Government of Nigeria or another government.
It is not a National Identification Number record, national identity card, passport, residence permit, visa, driving licence, voter card or other official civil identity credential.
It must not be presented to a public authority, financial institution, employer or another person as though it were a legally recognised substitute for a government-issued document.
The card may help confirm the holder’s private 6membership relationship. It does not replace government identity verification where official identification is required.
Not a payment or banking instrument
The card is not a debit card, credit card, stored-value card, bank account, payment wallet, gift card, remittance instrument or withdrawable financial balance.
A Membership ID cannot be used to deposit, withdraw, transfer or exchange money.
Displaying a membership card does not prove that a separate transaction has been paid.
No automatic corporate or personal authority
A membership card does not appoint the holder as an employee, director, agent, spokesperson, officer, adviser, partner or legal representative of 6membership, 6clement Joshua or an affiliated organisation.
The holder must not use the card to sign agreements, collect money, make promises, recruit, negotiate, advertise or incur obligations on behalf of another party without separate written authority.
Related policy framework
The Membership Terms govern the underlying relationship and benefits.
The identity policy governs the photograph and evidence used to issue the card.
The privacy policy governs the processing and disclosure of card and verification information.
Eligibility and issuance
When a card or certificate may be created and issued.
Approval required
A card or membership certificate may be issued only after the relevant application has been officially approved.
Payment, submission, an Application Reference or an under-review status does not authorise card issuance.
A draft, preview or sample design must not be represented as an active membership card.
Activation conditions
Issuance may depend on successful payment verification, identity verification, predecessor-tier verification and completion of any required onboarding steps.
Where payment is required, a card or certificate must not be activated solely because a browser redirect, screenshot, debit alert, applicant statement or unverified webhook indicates success.
6membership must independently verify the relevant Flutterwave transaction through an authorised server-side process and confirm the verified status, expected amount, currency, transaction reference and connection with the correct application before payment-dependent activation.
Private, entity, high-value or higher-tier relationships may require additional documentation before activation.
Membership ID
After approval, the existing Application Reference may become the permanent Membership ID.
Using one continuing reference helps connect the application, payment, approval, membership, card, certificate and verification history.
The same Membership ID must not be assigned to unrelated approved holders.
Official membership record
The card must be generated from the official approved membership record rather than from information entered manually into an unrelated design file.
The record may include the approved holder, tier, coverage, start date, expiry date, status, card version and approved photograph.
Card delivery
A digital card may be delivered through an authorised website, membership portal, protected download or official email.
Where a physical card is offered, delivery method, location limits, production time and any separate charge must be disclosed.
Delivery of a card does not override a later status change recorded before the card is used.
Certificate issuance
A certificate may provide formal confirmation of the approved relationship, tier, holder, date and Membership ID.
A certificate may be electronic, printable or physical where offered.
A certificate remains subject to current verification and does not continue to prove active status after expiry, replacement or revocation.
Card and certificate formats
The forms in which membership evidence may be made available.
Digital membership card
A digital card may be displayed through an authorised 6membership page, portal, image, PDF, wallet-compatible file or another approved digital format.
A digital format should preserve sufficient quality for legitimate display while limiting exposure of unnecessary original application material.
Physical membership card
Where offered, a physical card may reproduce the approved membership fields and verification mechanism.
A physical card remains the property of the approved holder for permitted personal use but the design and underlying intellectual property remain protected.
Loss, theft, damage or expiration of a physical card must be handled through the official replacement process.
Membership certificate
A certificate may provide a more formal record of approval than the compact card layout.
It may include the title, approved holder, tier, Membership ID, issue date, status wording, authorised branding and verification instructions.
It must not include private identity documents, payment details or unnecessary personal information.
Personal printing
A member may print an authentic digital card or certificate for legitimate personal presentation unless the document expressly restricts printing.
Printing does not create a new card version or change the current official status.
The member must not alter the printed design or remove status and verification information.
Accessible alternatives
Where a member cannot use the ordinary visual card because of disability or accessibility needs, 6membership may provide an appropriate alternative verification method.
The alternative must preserve security and must not disclose substantially more information than necessary.
Information displayed on a card
The membership fields that may appear and the information that must remain private.
Permitted card fields
Depending on the card type, permitted fields may include the approved name, organisation name, primary representative, Membership ID, tier, coverage, issue date, start date, expiry date, status, approved photograph and verification code or link.
The fields should remain limited to information reasonably useful for identifying and verifying the membership.
Approved name
An individual card should use the verified approved name recorded for the membership.
A Family, business or organisation card may identify the approved unit and its primary representative according to the applicable design.
A nickname, stage name or trading name may be added only where approved and must not replace the verified legal or official record where that record is necessary.
Approved photograph
Where a card includes a photograph, it should use the verified and approved membership image.
The image may be cropped, resized or compressed for the card without materially changing the holder’s appearance.
The original full-resolution application image need not be embedded in the publicly displayed card.
Tier and coverage
The card may state the approved tier and geographic coverage.
The tier must not be changed manually by the member.
Coverage wording does not guarantee that every event, programme, benefit or affiliated organisation operates in every location.
Status information
A card or verification result may identify status as active, expiring soon, expired, suspended, restricted, reported stolen, invalid, revoked or cancelled.
A static card image may not update automatically when the database status changes.
The current verification result therefore controls.
Information excluded from the card
The card must not ordinarily display the registered email address, telephone number, full date of birth, residential address, payment details, complete government-document number, guardian evidence, source-of-funds evidence or private application answers.
A complete password, OTP, payment credential or administrative identifier must never appear on the card.
Government-document numbers
A government identity number used during private verification must not be reproduced as the public Membership ID.
Where a limited reference is operationally necessary, it should be masked or restricted according to applicable law and the verification purpose.
Information displayed on a certificate
The additional formal information that a certificate may contain.
Certificate fields
A certificate may include the approved name or entity, Membership ID, tier, coverage, approval date, issue date, expiry date, current-status notice, official branding and verification instructions.
It may also contain a unique document or certificate version identifier.
Accurate relationship wording
The certificate must describe the approved relationship accurately.
It must not imply employment, agency, government recognition, professional accreditation, ownership, partnership, investment or official endorsement unless a separate lawful relationship expressly creates that status.
Authorised signature or seal
A certificate may include an authorised digital signature, printed signature, seal or verification mark.
A signature or seal must not be copied onto an unrelated document or used to create a false approval.
Certificate validity
The validity of a certificate depends on the official membership record.
A certificate may remain historically authentic as a record of an earlier approval while no longer proving active membership.
The verification result should make the current status clear.
Certified and ordinary copies
An ordinary downloaded or printed copy is not automatically a legally certified copy.
Where a certified copy is offered, the certification method, date, authorised person and verification route should be stated.
Public verification service
How a third party checks whether a Membership ID is recognised.
Purpose
The public-verification service allows a person to check whether a presented Membership ID corresponds to a recognised 6membership record.
It helps reduce fake memberships, altered cards, expired claims, stolen-card use and unauthorised representation.
Verification input
A user may be asked to enter a Membership ID, open an authorised verification link or scan an approved QR code.
A QR code should resolve to an official 6membership verification location rather than exposing the complete private membership record inside the code.
Current result
The result should be generated from the current official membership record and should not rely on a cached card image as the authoritative status source.
For an active recognised membership, the result may show only the minimum authorised fields needed to confirm the claimed relationship and status at the time of the request.
For an invalid, unavailable or non-public record, the response may use a deliberately limited or generic result so that the verification service does not become an enumeration tool.
A verification result should include an appropriate timestamp or last-updated indicator where useful.
Limited verification purpose
A positive verification confirms only the membership information displayed.
It does not establish government identity, creditworthiness, criminal history, professional licensing, financial capacity, employment status or authority beyond the approved membership relationship.
A valid result means the membership record is recognised. It does not mean that 6membership guarantees every statement or transaction made by the member.
Unrecognised or invalid result
An unrecognised or unavailable result means the presented credential must not be relied upon as proof of active membership.
To reduce membership-ID enumeration and unnecessary disclosure, 6membership need not reveal whether a negative result is caused by an incorrect identifier, a non-existent record, a private record, an expired public-verification period, a replaced credential or another non-active condition.
Where a specific non-active status is intentionally displayed, an expired, stolen, suspended, restricted, revoked, cancelled or invalid result means the presented card must not be relied upon as active membership.
Technical unavailability
A temporary system or network failure does not automatically prove that a membership is valid or invalid.
The third party should retry through the official service or contact the authorised verification channel where reliance is important.
No unofficial override
A member’s verbal statement, social-media post, screenshot or message cannot override an official negative status.
Only an authorised correction to the official membership record can change the verification result.
Anti-enumeration and purpose limitation
The public-verification service is intended to verify a specific credential presented by a member, not to provide a searchable public directory of applicants, members or former members.
Verification identifiers should be sufficiently resistant to guessing, and the service may use rate limits, generic negative responses, abuse detection and other controls to prevent systematic discovery of membership records.
A verification request must not expose private application, payment, guardian, identity-document, complaint or compliance information.
Public fields and privacy protection
The boundary between useful verification and unnecessary disclosure.
Minimum necessary information
The public result should display only information reasonably necessary to verify the specific claimed membership.
For an active record, the ordinary result may include a limited approved name or entity display, Membership ID or verification identifier, current tier where relevant to the claimed use, current status and expiry information where needed.
Coverage, issue dates, card-version data, photographs and other fields should be omitted unless they materially support the verification purpose.
The verification result must not function as a general searchable profile of the member.
Public photograph
A photograph is not required on every public-verification result and should be omitted by default where status verification can be completed without public visual matching.
Where a limited photograph is genuinely necessary to compare a presenter with the approved holder, the public-verification design must use a suitable derivative rather than exposing the original private upload.
The decision to display a photograph should be documented as necessary and proportionate to the verification purpose and should be reviewed where the verification design, audience or risk changes.
A photograph must not be displayed merely because 6membership holds one privately.
Private information excluded
The public result must not ordinarily disclose the registered email address, telephone number, full date of birth, residential address, identity documents, document numbers, payment information, guardian evidence, application answers, internal notes or compliance records.
Status without unnecessary allegations
A result may state that membership is restricted, invalid or revoked without publishing confidential investigation details.
A public status should not accuse a person of fraud, crime or misconduct unless publication is lawful, necessary, accurate and properly authorised.
Younger members
Public verification involving a permitted younger member requires heightened privacy protection.
The default public result should avoid displaying the younger member’s photograph, exact age, guardian identity, school, residential or real-time location, contact details or other information that could increase identification, targeting or safety risk.
Where a younger member’s name or photograph is proposed for public display, 6membership must document the necessity, proportionality, applicable lawful basis, guardian-related requirements and available safer alternatives before enabling that display.
Where the verification purpose can be achieved with a limited recognised-or-not-active result, the more privacy-protective result should be preferred.
Privacy rights
A member may request correction of inaccurate public-verification information.
Applicable access, deletion, restriction and objection rights remain subject to the need to prevent fake, stolen, expired or revoked cards from appearing valid.
Membership status definitions
The meaning of the principal statuses shown by verification.
Active
Active means the membership is currently recognised for the approved tier and period, subject to the applicable policies and any specific conditions.
Active status does not guarantee admission to every opportunity or unrestricted access to every person or organisation.
Expiring soon
Expiring soon means the membership remains active but is approaching its recorded expiry date.
The status does not mean that renewal has already been paid or approved.
Expired
Expired means the approved membership period has ended and active membership benefits ordinarily stop.
Public verification may show a limited non-active result for a proportionate period where that display is still needed to prevent reliance on an expired credential.
Public display must not continue indefinitely merely to preserve history; once the public anti-counterfeit purpose has ended, the public result should be disabled or reduced while any justified historical record remains restricted.
Suspended
Suspended means the membership has been temporarily paused because of a review, payment issue, security concern, conduct issue, legal restriction or another applicable ground.
The membership must not be represented as fully active during suspension.
Restricted
Restricted means some membership functions or uses are limited while the underlying record remains recognised.
The verification result may identify the restriction without disclosing confidential details.
Reported stolen
Reported stolen means the card or credential was reported lost, stolen, copied or compromised and should not be relied upon.
The membership itself may remain active through a replacement card after verification.
Invalid
Invalid means the presented card, certificate, version or Membership ID is not accepted as valid proof.
Possible reasons include alteration, replacement, duplication, incorrect issuance or failure to satisfy activation conditions.
Revoked
Revoked means 6membership has withdrawn the membership following an applicable decision.
The former holder must stop presenting the card or certificate as active.
Cancelled
Cancelled means the relationship or application was ended through an authorised cancellation process.
A limited restricted historical record may remain for payment, verification, fraud prevention, complaints, legal claims or another documented lawful purpose.
Cancellation does not justify keeping the former holder publicly searchable indefinitely.
Permitted member use
How an approved holder may present and use membership evidence.
Personal presentation
An approved holder may display the authentic card or certificate to demonstrate the recorded membership relationship.
The card may be shown digitally or physically according to the available format.
Allowing verification
A member presenting a card should permit the recipient to use the official verification method.
The member must not obstruct verification, substitute another person’s card or provide a fake verification page.
Public display
A member may display an authentic card or certificate on a personal website, social profile, portfolio or professional communication where the context is accurate.
Public display may expose the Membership ID and other visible fields to copying or misuse.
The member should consider using an approved shareable verification view rather than publishing a full-resolution card where available.
Copies and screenshots
A member may retain reasonable personal copies for legitimate use.
Copies must not be altered, sold, assigned or issued to another person.
The official verification result remains controlling.
Event and opportunity use
A card may be presented for an event, invitation or opportunity only where that programme recognises the applicable membership tier.
The card does not guarantee entry where registration, capacity, identification, security, invitation or event-specific conditions remain outstanding.
No automatic guest entitlement
A card does not automatically admit a guest, companion, family member, employee or representative.
Guest access requires the event or programme’s specific permission.
Prohibited card and certificate use
Conduct that creates a false, misleading or unauthorised membership claim.
Alteration
A person must not change the name, photograph, tier, status, coverage, dates, Membership ID, QR code, verification link, signature, seal or other material field.
Cropping a card for ordinary display must not remove information in a way that makes the meaning misleading.
Counterfeit cards and certificates
A person must not create, generate, print, sell, distribute or use a fake 6membership card, certificate, approval notice or verification result.
A sample or promotional mock-up must be clearly marked and must not resemble an active personal credential.
Lending or sharing
A member must not lend, rent, sell, assign or share a personal card or credential so another person can claim the membership.
An entity representative must not allow an unauthorised person to present the entity card as personal membership.
False active-status claims
A person must not present an expired, suspended, restricted, stolen, invalid, revoked or cancelled card as active.
A historical certificate must not be described as proof of current status when verification shows otherwise.
False authority and endorsement
A card must not be used to claim employment, official representation, government authority, company ownership, partnership, investment approval, board membership or personal endorsement that has not been granted separately.
Collecting unauthorised payments
A cardholder must not use membership status to collect application fees, donations, investments, sponsorship funds or other payments on behalf of 6membership without written authority.
Official membership payments must use the authorised checkout or formally approved route.
Verification-system abuse
A person must not scrape, enumerate, probe, overload or automate public-verification requests in a manner that compromises privacy, security or service availability.
A person must not use sequential guesses to build a database of members.
Possible consequences
Misuse may result in card invalidation, restriction, suspension, revocation, investigation, evidence preservation, intellectual-property enforcement, payment review or lawful reporting.
Consequences remain subject to applicable law and the relevant complaint or appeal process.
Lost, stolen and compromised cards
How a member protects the record after a card or credential is exposed.
Prompt reporting
A member should report a lost, stolen, copied, forwarded without authority or otherwise compromised card promptly.
The report should identify the Membership ID and explain the known circumstances without disclosing unnecessary passwords or identity documents.
Reporter verification
6membership may verify the reporter’s identity and authority before changing the card status or issuing a replacement.
This protects against a malicious person falsely reporting another member’s card as stolen.
Reported-stolen status
The affected card version may be marked reported stolen, compromised or invalid.
The status may appear in public verification so third parties know not to rely on the exposed version.
Membership may remain active
Loss of a card does not automatically revoke the underlying membership.
The member may continue through a verified replacement process unless another restriction applies.
Replacement card
A replacement may receive a new card-version identifier, QR code or verification token while retaining the same permanent Membership ID.
The previous card version should remain invalid after replacement.
Replacement charges
A replacement charge may apply to physical production, delivery or repeated avoidable replacement where disclosed before payment.
A charge must not be imposed secretly after the replacement is completed.
A replacement required because of a 6membership error or security incident may be handled differently.
Unauthorised use investigation
6membership may investigate reports that a compromised card was used to obtain entry, collect money, impersonate the holder or make false representations.
Relevant verification logs, communications and event records may be preserved.
Corrections and replacement
How inaccurate card fields are reviewed and updated.
Administrative error
A member may report an incorrect name, photograph, tier, date, coverage or other card field.
6membership will compare the card with the official application, approval and membership records.
Legal-name changes
A material legal-name change may require reliable supporting evidence and identity re-verification.
The new name may be displayed while the previous name remains in a restricted historical audit record where necessary.
Photograph updates
A new photograph may be requested where the existing image is incorrect, outdated, compromised or no longer sufficiently recognisable.
The replacement must satisfy the applicable photograph requirements.
Tier changes
A card tier may change only through an approved upgrade, downgrade, correction or other authorised membership action.
The member must not alter the card while an upgrade application remains under review.
New card version
A material correction may create a new card version and invalidate the previous one.
The current verification record should identify the valid version or status.
No transfer through correction
A correction process must not be used to replace the approved holder with another person or transfer membership to an unrelated entity.
A material change of holder, entity or primary representative may require a new application and review.
Disputed information
Where a field is disputed and cannot immediately be resolved, 6membership may restrict public display or mark the record for review.
The member may use the applicable complaint or privacy-correction process.
Expiry and renewal
How the card reflects the end or continuation of a membership period.
Recorded expiry date
A monthly or yearly card may display the expiry date recorded for the approved membership period.
The exact official timestamp controls where a displayed date, time zone or static image creates uncertainty.
Effect of expiry
After expiry, the member must not present the card as active.
For a proportionate post-expiry anti-counterfeit period, public verification may return a limited non-active result where this remains necessary to prevent reliance on an old card.
Once that public-verification purpose has been accomplished, the public result should be disabled or reduced in accordance with the Data Retention, Deletion and Records Policy, while any minimal restricted record remains subject to its own lawful retention basis.
Renewal
Renewal may update the expiry date, card status or card version after payment and any required re-verification.
A renewal payment that remains pending or failed does not automatically extend the card.
Static and saved cards
A saved card image may continue showing an earlier expiry date after renewal.
6membership may issue an updated card or use a live card view that reflects the current record.
Third parties should rely on verification rather than only the saved image.
One-time membership cards
A card connected with a one-time membership option must display or link to the actual duration and status applicable to that purchase.
A one-time payment must not be described as perpetual unless the final published membership schedule expressly and lawfully creates perpetual duration.
Restriction, suspension and revocation
How a card is handled when the underlying relationship is under review or ended.
Possible grounds
A card or membership may be restricted, suspended or revoked for fraud, impersonation, unauthorised payment, card alteration, transfer, serious misconduct, false representation, legal restriction or another valid policy ground.
Action may also be taken where approval was issued through a material administrative or identity error.
Urgent protective action
6membership may invalidate or restrict a card immediately where continued use creates a credible safety, fraud, security, payment or legal risk.
Advance notice may be omitted where notice would allow further misuse or violate a lawful restriction.
Public result
The public-verification result may show that the card or membership is restricted, suspended, invalid or revoked.
The result need not publish the complete reason or investigation record.
Member obligations
A member must stop presenting the card as active after receiving a restriction, suspension, invalidation or revocation notice.
A physical card may be required to be destroyed or returned where legally and operationally appropriate.
Restoration
A temporarily restricted or suspended membership may be restored after the issue is resolved.
Restoration may require payment verification, identity verification, correction, security action or another stated condition.
A new card version may be issued after restoration.
Complaint or appeal
Where an appeal or complaint process is available, the member may challenge an incorrect status or provide relevant evidence.
An appeal does not automatically restore active status while a serious risk remains unresolved.
Third-party reliance
Responsibilities of persons checking or relying on a membership claim.
Use official verification
A third party should verify the Membership ID through the official service before relying on the card for a material decision.
Visual inspection alone may not reveal expiration, theft, replacement or digital alteration.
Rely only on the verified scope
A third party should rely only on the information displayed by the verification result.
An active Starter, Family, Silver, Black, Platinum or Elite membership does not imply a benefit or authority that the relevant tier does not provide.
Additional identity requirements
Where official identity is legally or operationally required, the third party should request an appropriate government-issued document or another lawful identity method.
The 6membership card is not a substitute for official identification.
Avoid unnecessary copying
A third party should not retain, publish or distribute a copy of the card merely because it was shown for verification.
Where a record of verification is needed, the third party should retain only the information proportionate to its lawful purpose.
Fair treatment
A verification result must not be used to facilitate unlawful discrimination, harassment, stalking or exposure of a member’s personal information.
A restricted or expired result should not be converted into a public accusation beyond the information actually displayed.
No guarantee of independent conduct
6membership does not guarantee every independent statement, promise, transaction or action of a member merely because membership is active.
A third party remains responsible for its own due diligence where entering a separate commercial, financial, employment or legal relationship.
Verification security and abuse prevention
Controls protecting the verification service and member information.
Rate limits and automated abuse
6membership may apply rate limits, bot controls, request validation and monitoring to protect the verification service.
Repeated automated requests may be delayed, blocked or investigated.
Membership-ID enumeration
A person must not systematically guess or generate Membership IDs to discover member records.
Verification responses may be designed to reduce information disclosure from repeated invalid queries.
Verification links and QR codes
Official verification links should use the authorised 6membership domain and secure transport.
A QR code should be checked for unexpected redirection before sensitive reliance.
A copied QR code cannot make an altered card valid where the displayed holder information does not match the official result.
Verification logs
A verification request may create a limited log containing the Membership ID or verification identifier entered, result, time, limited technical request information and security events.
Logs may support abuse prevention, diagnostics, card-misuse investigation and legal compliance, but must not become a separate behavioural profile of persons who check cards.
Where the original logging purpose has been accomplished and no law provides a different time-bound retention period, continued storage must follow the applicable Nigerian post-purpose retention rule described in the Data Retention, Deletion and Records Policy.
No privileged secrets in the card
A card, QR code or verification URL must not contain database secret keys, payment-provider secrets, email-provider keys or unrestricted administrative tokens.
Privileged verification operations must remain server-side.
Fake verification websites
A person must not create a website, page, application or QR destination that imitates the official verification service.
Suspected fake verification locations should be reported through the authorised security channel.
Security incidents
A compromise affecting card records, verification links, public fields or administrative status controls may be investigated under the incident-response process.
Affected persons and authorities will be notified where applicable law requires notification.
Brand and intellectual-property protection
Permitted personal use of the card design and protection against counterfeiting.
Protected elements
The 6membership name, logo, card layouts, certificate layouts, verification design, typography, security elements, graphics and related materials are protected to the extent provided by applicable law.
Limited member permission
An approved member receives limited permission to possess, display and reproduce their authentic card or certificate for legitimate personal verification.
The permission is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and subject to active policy compliance.
No unauthorised commercial reproduction
A person must not manufacture, sell, license, merchandise, template, distribute or commercially exploit the card or certificate design without written authorisation.
No confusing imitation
A person must not create a competing card or certificate designed to mislead others into believing that it was issued or endorsed by 6membership.
A parody, commentary or lawful reference must not be presented as an authentic credential.
Enforcement and removal
6membership may request removal of counterfeit cards, fake verification pages, impersonating accounts or unauthorised commercial reproductions.
It may also preserve evidence and use available platform, contractual, civil or lawful authority processes.
Records, retention and deletion
How card versions, verification events and status history are preserved.
Card and certificate records
6membership may retain the card or certificate information reasonably necessary to support an active credential, current verification, replacement handling and investigation of a specific old, altered or stolen copy.
When the active credential purpose ends, full card files, public derivatives and unnecessary duplicated fields should be deleted, disabled or reduced rather than retained automatically as permanent membership history.
A smaller restricted record may preserve the Membership ID, credential version, former status, invalidation event and other minimum evidence where a continuing lawful anti-counterfeit, complaint, legal, payment or security purpose remains.
Status history
Status changes may be recorded with the previous status, new status, date, authorised actor and reason.
Historical status should remain restricted where public disclosure is unnecessary and should be reduced when detailed reasons or supporting information are no longer needed.
A historical audit purpose does not by itself authorise indefinite public display of the former status.
Verification logs
Verification logs may be retained for security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, complaints and legal claims only for as long as the relevant purpose remains active.
Routine logs should be minimised and separated from longer-lived incident or legal records where practicable.
Where the original purpose has been accomplished and no law provides a different time-bound retention period, continued storage must end within the applicable Nigerian post-purpose period described in the Data Retention, Deletion and Records Policy.
Expired and revoked records
An expired, invalid, replaced, cancelled or revoked credential may justify a limited restricted anti-counterfeit record so that an old card cannot later be treated internally as active.
The retained record should be reduced to the minimum identifier, credential version, non-active status, relevant dates and other evidence genuinely needed for the continuing purpose.
The existence of that restricted record does not require indefinite public verification and does not authorise continued retention of all original application, photograph, identity-document or payment information.
Deletion and privacy requests
Applicable privacy rights may allow a member to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection.
A request may be limited where a minimal restricted record remains genuinely necessary to prevent counterfeit, stolen, replaced, revoked or expired credentials from being treated as active, to resolve a dispute, or to satisfy another lawful retention ground.
Where the public display is no longer necessary even though a restricted record remains justified, the public display should be removed or reduced rather than continuing merely because the backend record is retained.
Legal holds and investigations
Deletion may be paused where records are relevant to card fraud, impersonation, payment disputes, security incidents, complaints, court proceedings or authority requests.
A hold should identify the relevant records, reason, responsible person and review date and should not suspend deletion of unrelated information.
Nigerian post-purpose retention rule
For processing subject to the applicable Nigerian data-protection framework, personal information must not remain merely because an internal card-history schedule permits a longer period.
Where the original processing purpose has been accomplished and no law itself provides a different time-bound retention requirement, continued storage must end within the applicable post-purpose period described in the Data Retention, Deletion and Records Policy.
A continuing fraud-prevention, legal-claim, complaint, security or anti-counterfeit purpose must be specific, documented, proportionate and reviewed rather than assumed permanently.
Public-verification sunset
Public display and backend retention are separate decisions.
An expired, replaced, cancelled or revoked record may remain privately retained where lawfully justified even after its public-verification page is disabled or reduced to a generic non-active response.
Former members must not remain in an unrestricted public directory solely because their historical Membership ID still exists in a restricted backend record.
Administrative controls
How card issuance and status-changing authority should be protected.
Role-based authority
Only authorised personnel should issue, replace, restrict, suspend, revoke or correct a card or certificate.
The ability to view a membership record must not automatically include the ability to alter its status.
Audit trail
Material card and status actions should be recorded in an administrative audit trail.
The record may include the administrator, action, time, membership, reason and previous value.
No unofficial card creation
An administrator must not create an active card outside the authorised membership system merely by editing a design or image.
Cards must be generated from a valid approved membership record.
No private issuance payment
An administrator must not request payment to a personal account for card approval, status restoration or verification manipulation.
Where an official card-production or replacement charge applies, the charge must use the authorised 6membership payment route and the current Flutterwave integration unless another provider has been formally approved and disclosed before use.
Payment-dependent issuance or restoration must rely on verified server-side transaction status rather than a screenshot, browser return or administrator message.
Conflicts of interest
An administrator should disclose a personal, family, business or financial interest that could affect an issuance, revocation or correction decision.
The matter may be reassigned or receive additional review.
Emergency invalidation
A limited authorised role may be permitted to invalidate a credibly compromised card quickly.
Permanent revocation or restoration may require a higher level of approval and documented review.
Credential and system security
Administrative credentials, signing mechanisms, verification secrets and card-generation systems must be protected from unauthorised access.
Shared administrator accounts should be avoided where individual accountability is reasonably possible.
Complaints, official contacts and updates
How card issues are reported and how this Policy may change.
Card or certificate error
A member may report an incorrect field, missing card, damaged file, outdated photograph, incorrect status or failed verification result.
The report should identify the Membership ID and the disputed information.
Counterfeit and impersonation reports
A person may report a fake card, copied certificate, fake verification page, unauthorised membership claim or misuse of another person’s Membership ID.
The report should include the relevant evidence without publicly distributing private identity information.
Review and correction
6membership may compare the report with application, payment, identity, card-version, status and verification records.
A confirmed administrative error should be corrected while preserving an appropriate audit history.
Complaint or appeal
A member may challenge an incorrect restriction, invalidation, suspension or revocation through the available complaint process.
A serious security restriction may remain in place while the review is pending.
External rights
Nothing in this Policy removes a mandatory right to contact a consumer authority, privacy regulator, court, payment provider, law-enforcement body or other competent authority.
Official contact routes
Application-stage identity and card questions should be sent to applications@6membership.com.
Approved-card corrections, stolen cards, replacements and membership-status questions should be sent to admin@6membership.com.

Policy changes
6membership may update card designs, security features, verification methods, public fields, status terminology and administrative procedures.
A change will not be used retrospectively to make an authentic earlier card fraudulent or remove a mandatory right.
Versioning and effective dates
Material changes will be managed through the Policy Updates, Effective Dates and Change Log.
Where renewed notice or acceptance is required, the affected member will receive the applicable communication.
